According to Upparpet police, during a protest at Freedom Park on July 24, a young woman allegedly displayed posters bearing messages referring to Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam, both accused in the 2020 North-East Delhi riots case.
Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “I don't think we should attack or troll Keshab Mahanta for the protest by his daughter. She may not follow her father's political ideology.”
