A mãe de Isabelle relatou que não houve mais respostas para as mensagens que ela enviou e que acreditava que o silêncio se devia ao fato de a filha estar dormindo. Ao permanecer sem respostas da filha na manhã da segunda-feira (14), Isorlanda tentou contato com o namorado da filha por ligações e mensagens e descobriu ter sido bloqueada. “Para a minha surpresa, eu estava bloqueada, eu fui tentar pelo Instagram dele, bloqueada. No outro Instagram pessoal, bloqueada. Totalmente bloqueada, bloqueada. Aí eu me desesperei”, relatou. Isorlanda disse ainda que só veio a saber da morte da filha quando foi, acompanhada do filho, ao condomínio onde Isabelle morava com o namorado, a sogra e um irmão dele. Lá, os familiares foram comunicados pela síndica de que Isabelle tinha morrido na noite anterior.  A respeito das causas da morte, a Secretaria da Segurança Pública e Defesa Social (SSPDS) disse que ainda não há um laudo da perícia forense que aponte a causa da morte da jovem. O caso está sendo investigado pela 2ª Delegacia de Polícia Civil da Capital.
