O Ministério da Cultura homologou o tombamento do Palacete Celina Guinle e Linneo de Paula Machado e de seus jardins, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. De acordo com a Portaria 314/2026, publicada nesta segunda-feira (14), a medida foi aprovada por unanimidade pelos integrantes do Conselho Consultivo do Patrimônio Cultural, em junho. A decisão agora passa a produzir os efeitos previstos no Decreto-Lei nº 25, de 1937, principal marco legal de proteção do patrimônio histórico e artístico nacional. Com a homologação, o imóvel e seus jardins passam a contar com proteção definitiva do patrimônio cultural brasileiro, o que assegura a preservação de suas características históricas, arquitetônicas e paisagísticas. Histórico O palacete foi erguido entre 1900 e 1906 e dado de presente de casamento a dois integrantes de famílias tradicionais da elite carioca: Celina Guinle e Linneo de Paula Machado, fundador do Jockey Club Brasileiro. O imóvel tem escadarias e estátuas de mármore, pisos em mosaico, além de um enorme jardim, uma das últimas áreas verdes da região. No total são mais de 1,1 mil metros quadrados e 30 cômodos. Em junho deste ano, recebeu o tombamento do Iphan. Na decisão, o então Palacete Linneo de Paula Machado passou a incorporar o nome de Celina Guinle, como forma de resgatar a figura dela. O palacete foi comprado pela Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), que restaurou e construiu um anexo no terreno. O local abriga a Casa Firjan desde 2018.
