Amidst the high-pitched campaign for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly polls, tea garden workers have turned out to be an important constituency for political parties; the districts of Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling have about 20 seats, where the fate of the candidates depends on their support to tea garden workers.
