Purported blueprints of parts of India's largest plant exposed by World Leaks ransomeware group, Reuters reports.
Speaking to The Hindu, Union MoS Jitendra Singh says the breach has nothing to do with nuclear security at the Kudankulam nuclear power plant; experts also do not seem worried by the incident
Multiple NPCIL sources have confirmed the leak of data. However, a senior official said: “The files leaked are not related to KKNPP plant safety or nuclear safety. They are ordinary files which are common to any thermal power plant”
Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group, one of the plant’s contractors, told Reuters in a statement that there had been a “partial breach” of its data on a server hosted by third-party Indian data centre service provider Yotta, and that the govt. has been informed about the incident
