The accused is now likely to appeal against the decision in the Bombay High Court. Four others arrested in the case have been remanded to police custody till May 5
Concerns have been raised about the Tata Consultancy Services sexual exploitation and alleged forcible conversions case that involves nine FIRs, related to complaints of alleged sexual exploitation, rape and forcible conversion at the company’s office in Nashik, Maharashtra, between 2022 and 2026
The 31-year-old software professional is already arrested in one of the nine FIRs registered in connection with the case; he is currently in judicial custody.

A major police investigation is underway into allegations involving employees at Tata Consultancy Services’ Nashik BPO facility. Multiple FIRs have been registered accusing certain staff members of sexual harassment, coercion, and attempts at religious conversion. As arrests are made and an SIT probes the claims, the case has triggered outrage and raised wider questions about workplace safety, consent, religious freedom, and due process. TCS has suspended the accused employees and launched an internal inquiry as the investigation continues.
